Matteo Peretti is born in Rome in 1975. He obtains a B.A. in Visual Arts at Oberlin college in 1998 under the guide of John Pearson and Athena Tacha. In 1999 he has his first solo show in New York, where he lives and works for over a year. He then moves to London in 1999, getting a Master in Fine Arts at the Central Saint Martins School of Art. In the same period he has two solo shows and participates at the Biennal exhibition in Venice 2003 in a project curated by Angela Vettese. In 2005 he founded GIGA (Group Italian Young Artists).
He has been invited to participate at different shows in prestigious istitutions such as Palazzo Reale in Milan, MACRO Museum in Rome, Ex-Aurum in Pescara. He participated at the third edition of the Biennal of the Mediterranean in Oran and at the 54th Biennal exhibition in Venice, selected in the itinerant section of the Italian Pavillion in Rome. In the last years its works have been acquired from important Italian and international collections. One of his installation works is present in Collection 2.0 of Palazzo Collicola Arti Visive in Spoleto.
